LOVE 4 THE CHILDREN

Hi everyone!
So here we are – the summer is over and a new academic year has begun.
It means that a new season of our visits to the Grozov orphanage has
been launched. During the summer camp we have built strong attachments
with the orphans and they are looking forward to see us again now. We
are happy that the kids trust us more now. We can discuss anything
with them, they share with us their joys and sorrows, tell us their
prayer needs, ask for advice and some kids have accepted Jesus Christ
into their hearts. All this gives us plenty of strength and
inspiration to serve those kids.
We have prepared a cycle of lectures for them entitled “Jesus We Don’t
Know”. We want the kids to learn more about our Savior Jesus Christ.
We also talk with them about the positive and negative subcultures
that exist in our world so that the kids will have knowledge and
understanding about the music they are fond of which can influence
their minds, their attitude to clothes, make-up and, their choice of
role-models. We teach them about the hidden symbols and show that
there is an alternative to all that has evil roots. Many kids love to
read and we used it as an opportunity to preach – each time we bring
with us Christian books for the children to read. And they like to
read them and discuss with us.

Our foremost task now is to fight for the kids who still haven’t
reconciled with Jesus and for those who have already accepted Jesus
into their lives so that they will not lose the love and faith they
have received. We encourage you to join our prayers for the kids so
that the seeds that were sown would grow and give plenty of fruit and
so that God would give us wisdom to provide the children with the
right guidance so that no soul would perish but rather gain eternal
life with the Lord.

I am very grateful to God for our ministry! I am thankful for this academic year and for communication with children, for this opportunity that we got to share with them something new about God. Moreover, we have an opportunity to play with them, talk and simply sit next to them.
We want these kids to know that they are loved from their childhood. But our main goal is to tell them about God’s love to everyone. Also to show them that God accepts people the way they are without reference to their age, appearance and accommodations.
It’s so great to see how God opens children’s hears for communication and receiving His Word!
Praise the Lord that through His Word He’s given hopes to their hearts!
On our meetings with small kids we talk about: “The creation of the earth”, “First humans”, “Noah’s ark”. Children with joy and interest listen to it, because in every day’s life not so many people are telling them about the way the earth was created and who were the first people on this earth. Even though they talk about it in school sometimes, most of the times they are told about evolution. Unfortunately, God is left behind as something mythical or fairy. But we are trying to do everything we can to let these children get to know true Creator of the earth and everything that fills it!

Hello everybody! May is the last study month, then there are holidays. Children are waiting for it when they’ll leave the orphanage. In March and April, we spent most of the time the lessons of morality, which affected the attitudes and behavior among their peers. May we decided to dedicate fully to Jesus and what He did for us. First, we spoke on the theme of “sin”, what is its nature and consequences. In this theme were discussed such issues as the concept of sin, that it is inextricably linked with God that sin is a state, not just misdemeanors, sin is a replacement of God with something else. And, basically, we wanted to show that all people are sinners and that Jesus came and conquered sin. We also touched upon the life of Jesus Christ, repentance, and eternal life, where was shown in detail the way of Jesus, which he passed, that we have salvation. Where we just talked about whether we can change your life and how to change it to change. We have shown that this way is JESUS! Also, no matter how they lived, they face an eternity, they can carry out either with God or in hell. We showed that the choice is up to a man. At the end of the last lesson we made the calls to repentance.
Also during the week, we called up and talked with the guys on the relevant topics for them, discussing all sorts of events. Especially we discussed the theme of football (Champions League Final). Many of them play and like football, and this event was a good opportunity to talk to, cheer for your favorite team, just a fun time …

 The Bible is the only wise book that answers all the most important issues. The Bible is God’s amazing gift for everyone. This kids have learned about it on our lesson. When we came next time kids eagerly run to the street and asked if they would have a lesson! Classes were hold on the street. First we played outdoor games, playing smart, fun games, the “edible” game, very tired and finally just come the time to listen to the story of a boy who was very proud of the Bible. Then we learned a song about the worm, which has found the Bible and it was for him the most valuable find. In our prayer we thanked God for what He has given the Bible, and we can study it. On the next lesson, we talked with them about the importance of prayer, what is a prayer, what prayer is described in the Bible (Lk.11 :1-4) After the lesson was the most important part: each child was asked to pray! There was silence … and all the kids as best they could and knew how to take turns to pray! Thank God for these children’s hearts, full of ease and confidence! God always hears and answers our prayers. It’s true, because He promised to do so. God heard my prayer too!

In early April we began our work with kids from 1-3 forms at Grozovsky boarding school. There were about 10 people. Some of them were already familiar to us.
The aim of our first lesson was to get acquainted with the children, to tell them that during our lessons they will learn very interesting facts from the Bible. Moreover, they will find out many interesting and exciting things, and the most important is the fact that the Lord loves everyone, and He is able to help everyone turned to him for help.
We began our evening with my prayer; I immediately draw the attention of the children on the importance of prayer for us and on its simplicity. Then we learned a song about a giraffe and started to get acquainted closer. The topic of the lesson was “You are special”. The kids have learned from the game that all the names are different, but each of them is a unique one and the best for a man.
Children also took a mirror, looked at their faces and described themselves. We were happy to tell them that every person is unique and unrepeatable, because God has made all of us special, everyone has a lot of virtues and everyone has a talent given by God. They have drawn themselves on the hearts. We have collected the hearts and glued them on a sheet of paper.
Then the children looked at their hands. They found out that the fingerprints of all people are different. Each print is special to God. We offered the children to check it theirselves, allowed them to make fingerprints on the poster.
We ended our lesson with sweet candies)))
During the lesson the children were excited, they took up any task lively and noisily … and we were very pleased to see the joy and happiness on their faces. They surrounded us and asked to promise that we will come to them again!
