I serve orphans because I want to share with them the love that I’m getting from the Lord!!! If the life of just one child changes and he/she dedicates himself/herself to God, I am eager to serve.

There was a time when I didn’t understand orphans and kept them at a distance. But God changed my heart! Аnd showed that it is the children who most of all need love! The Bible says that God specifically cares about these children! I just doing something that God tells me in my heart  to do.

After meeting these kids, you would feel like coming back to them over and over again, seeing their happy faces,listening to their sometimes senseless but cute stories about their past weeks, holding their hands, doing girls’ hair, seeing 43 missed calls on your mobile phone when you come back home. My desire is first of all to let them know that there is Somebody, Who loves them and Who can change their lives, Who will replace relatives for them, Who will give them good friends and Who will always be by their sides and will never leave them. We are just tools in God’s hands and I want to do everything I can to make a difference in the lives of these children.

I serve in this ministry which brings salvation of Jesus Christ to the orphans because the love of Jesus Christ moves me. Jesus Christ commanded us to help those who are in need. In Belarus orphans need help probably more than anyone else! The history shows that meeting the physical needs of the orphans is not enough because above all else their hearts were wounded. Only Jesus Christ can heal their hearts. I know for sure that if an orphan opens his heart to Jesus, He is going to heal him! My heart aches for these orphans that is why I serve in this ministry.

Since childhood I’ve had orphan friends. We spent a lot of time together. And my heart went out for them coz they lived without parent’s love, for their parents left them. And I feel that God is calling me to show them His love, for the love of God is able to change anyone, and it’s great just watching them opening up and seeking God.

ILYA SENYUKOVICH

Introducing people to God I consider my life goal. I think it’s the biggest orphans’ need. I also see how these children need to be taught social skills. In fact, most of the graduates of the orphanage are not adapted to independent life – they do not know how to use money or even  personal hygiene products. They do not know how to build healthy relationships with other people. I have an example in my life. My relatives used to take guys from the orphanage for the weekend. They spent time together and went to church. This has greatly affected their lives. Now they are adult independent people, they live with God and have nice families. They tell others how relations with my family have brought many good things to their lives. They also spoke about the orphanage children, who used to take drugs and alcohol and half of them are no longer alive. There is nothing better for me than to see a joyful face of a man who has found Christ.
