News of this month
Our ministry is to teach the girls cooking, communicating with each other, trusting God and relying on Him.
Our culinary club has been working for the whole year already. During this time we regularly went to the orphanage, communicated with the girls, taught them to be responsible not only in the kitchen but also in their everyday life. We discussed a lot of topics with them: how to behave when invited to someone else’s home, what’s friendship, what’s Christmas, etc. We also played different games teaching the girls not to get offended and be able to forgive. It was quite easy to communicate with each of them. During our conversations we learnt a lot about the girls, their private problems which we helped to solve with a prayer. There were both tears and smiles. But all in all the year was good. The main achievement of this year is that many girls learnt to pray. We are really glad that now they can reveal their needs in a prayer and can read the Bible. Though we also encountered those who didn’t believe in God and didn’t want to accept Him in their lives, we are grateful for everything we had. At the end of our culinary club we went for a picnic together. Outdoor activities and nature made us closer. We not only played interesting games but also talked with the girls. We reminded them about good attitude to others. It was Dmitry who presented and moderated this topic. Moreover, he answered all the questions the girls had.
We spent a great time together: had a good rest, played and ate barbecue in the open air. I think everything was good. The time passed incredibly quickly. When we were bringing the girls back to the orphanage there were tears in their eyes. I am sure these were the tears of gratitude for all the time that we had spent with them and for everything we had taught them.
We thank God and all the members of our Minsk team for their help in organizing the picnic. We thank God for all the people who were praying for us and our ministry; we thank those who financially helped us and those who were not indifferent to the needs of children-orphans.
Matthew 7:7
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.”
