In December:“Grozovo orphanage”

DSC09193I want to share that surprising we had in December … December, this time when we communicated with children and girls in private. We had no general lessons, but we, team, divided all children into with whom it would be easier to it to communicate and be on friendly terms and also whom it could influence more. It was made in order that it is better to become friends and become even closer to them. Through our influence, communication in private, children can open that won’t tell at all. Communication in an informal form, are ringing, fm4Sos34FCEcorrespondence is that allowed to become more native for them, they began us to trust more. The attitude of many children towards us changed for the better, we saw and learned about their sore problems, could pray and give advice in the decision. At the end we always gathered where remembered Christmas, F1opofhA8tAand for what Jesus Christ came and that He brought the birth to this world. After that, we always blessed children through a prayer … All this shows our attitude to them, changes something in the spiritual environment of this boarding school and life of children … Especially to me arrival of 25.12.2012 because they didn’t wait for us as the majority of children parted was remembered … But with those who was we spent wonderful time, having presented it the happy moments. It is pleasant to them when someone loves them, wants to play, communicate with them, simply comes for the sake of them. Many don’t understand it, but see love which is shown in constancy, in aspiration to help them with life, Без имени-1to inspire or simply to embrace and tell that “you are the cool friend”, “let’s meet next time”. I am inspired by our team, its victim time, resources, rest … Thank God that looking the fatigue, everyone seeks to light fire in the hearts of children and each other!

In November:“Ministry for kids-orphans younger age”

DSC08738DSC08861I want to share with you a little bit about the events, that we’ve had this month.
Right now we’re trying to be active in ministering to kids from 7 to 10 years old. As I noticed, children of this age are more sensitive and need to see love and care in a special way. What we are doing with them is having bible lessons. We’re telling them amazing stories about biblical heroes, such as David, Josef, Moses. And also they like to make hand made stuff, paint and play!
This month all the kids had holidays. I had an opportunity to take three girls to my place. It has been good time both for them and me. I loved the time that we had together! We were able to learn practical things together, which will be DSC08699DSC08667important during our lives. I’m teaching them how to cook, be tidy, but the most important is that I can see their problems. Then we’re learning how to solve those problems together, at the same time changing something in our character and behavior. And also we’re learning how to do good things for other people. Besides, we’re practicing praying together.
If you’re taking care of orphans and bless them, God will never leave you without His blessings!

In November:“Grozovo orphanage”

As usual, we had organized several trips to Grozovo boarding. We tried to diversify as our program. One November Tuesday we had stag and hen party in the orphanage. In the men’s company talked about what makes a man a real man (by the way, the guys were talking in the gym). But the girls retired to the classroom to raise the issues of personal hygiene. Both meetings were held in a good atmosphere, but it is to say that now the number of children attending our meetings, reached a minimum. Although this is one advantage: we can pay more attention to those who are coming – still, it’s a sad fact. After all, if the kids have lost interest in our common pastime, so we need to change something. When we arrive, we see that they have much, much more interesting ways to spend their time. You can, of course, try to justify the fact that the children in this school got fed up of all kinds of goods and attention on the part of foreigners who visit them twice a year, who come to Belarus to provide financial assistance to the school, and to organize leisure time for children. But we will not tolerate any excuses for ourselves to achieve the goal – the hearts of these children. So now as a team we will look for new approaches to these guys, we will land in the ideas, we will diligently seek the keys to the heart of every child!

In October: “Children’s ministry in Grozovo.”

I thank God for giving me the opportunity to serve Him through the kids and the grace I find in this relationship. Each day I get attached to the children more and more. This month we discussed with them different Biblical personalities. The kids enjoy the lessons and though they often mess around, we can feel that they are truly interested in what we have to say to them. They also love playing games with us and simply sharing a conversation. I love all the kids but there is special concern in my heart about one girl called Valyusha. She’s very special. She likes what we do and supports our effort by active participation and friendly attitude. I thank God for that girl and for the special regard He has given to me towards her. She has a special place in my heart and in my prayers.

Hi, everybody!
I’d like to share with you on our October events. This month we have completed the lecture series “Jesus you didn’t know” where we wanted to present Jesus from different angles: as a carpenter, mentor, as the intercessor, the one who was born to advocate before His father on our behalf. The kids were all attention as they used to have another image of God in their mind. And now in this series of lectures they had a chance to get to know God as He is – unique in His love.
We also devoted a whole week to playing football. We split into several teams that competed either in 5-minute games or until there was a two-nil score. Such rules made the play a challenging and intensive one. In the process the kids learnt to understand and appreciate the true meaning of having a team spirit. It is not random players but a team united that wins the game. Sports events also helped us to get closer to each other and we had great fun, of course. It was an amazing gift of God when we could not only get a healthy physical exercise but also be there for our wards.
We also communicate via social networks where we can comment on each other’s posts. For example, there was a story when one guy didn’t know how to help his friend and I left a commentary that there is the One who has all answers and you should only ask Him for help. I don’t know whether the guy prayed at last or not but I know he heard me and saw an alternative choice on how to deal with problems in one’s life.
