In February: Belinichy orphanage

Posted: March 9, 2012 by Dobr9k in Belinichy

In Belinichi orphanage nearly all the meetings were held in a special way. We formed two groups: boys and girls separately. Such meetings we had in November in other orphanages. But this orphanage is special, because there are children with mental and physical characteristics. But in spite of this all children are dream of meeting their love and having a good family. And we must to show them that it is really only with God! We spoke a lot about the right relations between boys and girls, about love, about sex before marriage and it’s effect and how had God made man and woman. There are in our team two medics who spoke with children on these themes from medical point of view. This theme was very vital for teenagers. Maybe they most of all people need in such meetings because when they leave the orphanage they have a lot of freedom and sometimes they don’t know what to do with it. It is a very big problem because children choose wrong way and they start drink, take drugs, someone faced with unwanted pregnancy and with abortion. Our goal is to change these bad facts! We try to use each facility to show children that each of them has a chance to have good family, to keep their health and health of their future children. God is not indifferent to what happens with life of this children that they leave the orphanage. And with Him we do that we can do!

In January: Special boarding school in Belinichy

Dear friends,

Let me remind you that not so long ago we, alongside many other Christians all over the world, celebrated the Birth of our Savior Jesus Christ! All churches and families paid tribute to this day and my family also spent Christmas together. There was one thing, however, that occupied my thoughts during the festive season. For some time I have been regularly visiting an orphanage in Belinichy where children with no families live. My team and I were deeply touched that there is nobody there for those children to tell them about Christmas. And that’s why we decided to address this problem to two churches and make a special day for the orphans. The congregations were willing to help us and one church organised gifts and songs for the children while the other prepared a Christmas performance. The administration of the orphanage allowed us to hold the celebration on January 13.

At last everything was ready and about 35 people gathered at the church to pray before our visit. Out trip to the orphanage took us three hours and when we got there the kids were so excited to see so many guests, the boys helped us to carry the decorations and music instruments while the girls were making friends with the girls from our church. In an hour the hall was full with the children waiting for the performance. When the host of the performance appeared at the stage everybody began to applaud to him, the kids eagerly participated in all the activities he offered, they loved Christian songs and the performance.

At the end of the programme we presented Christmas gifts to the children. The gits were prepared personally for each child. Every gift box had a name on it and all the presents were different. Children loved this surprise because very often they get similar gifts that seem to be a little boring. And when you have your name on a gift than you feel special for somebody prepared this very present especially for you and was thinking about you. All the children loved their presents and were very, very happy.

I thought that the children got a chance to feel the Christmas spirit during the evening we spent with them, they could experience God’s love in action represented and expressed by our gifts and attention. There were tons of laughter, smiles and happy faces. The kids thanked us and invited us to come again. I was pleased to see them getting acquainted with the people from the church who, I’m sure, were deeply impressed by this visit and will care more about the orphans from that time on.

I’m grateful to God for this wonderful time we had together, for this Christmas gift He helped us to organize for the children, for all those who participated in this project. I know that God remembers the orphans and cares about them. It is written in Psalm 146 that God keeps strangers and supports all widows and orphans. I also wish to thank you for your kind support knowing that your hearts always stay open to our ministry. May God bless you all!

In December: Live hope for children.

Very soon the whole world will celebrate the long-awaited Christmas and New Year! These holidays – family holidays. They are a good reason, for what would be the family gathered at the great celebratory table.
But there are children who his first Christmas will be welcomed in a boarding school, and there are those, for whom it will be the fifth, and for someone tenth. Sad picture turns out: in Belarus twenty-six thousand orphans will meet Christmas and New Year in boarding schools or orphanages. But all over the world, one hundred sixty-three million children-orphans will be welcomed not home, this family run holiday of hope and joy.
This month, we visited Belinichy school boarding school. Arriving there we seem to find ourselves in a different world with its own laws and rules. Children without dreams, without emotion. Sorry to see the guys in this state. Many are blaming the global economic crisis!! And you know, I thought, and may indeed crisis – the crisis of sin and opposition to God; but the children are only victims in this war.
Children are always welcomed us still on the street, not looking at the snow and the frost. Nice to come to the children and give them love, which gives us Christ! This month we talked about Advent. Advent is the holiday of waiting for Jesus Christ. We talked about the fact, that Christ, when he was born, brought people the love, peace, hope, and joy. The thing is that when I spent the lessons of independence, I have seen the eyes of children, when I talked about the fact that Christ brought to the world. Many children are still not in the world with their parents consider them traitors and can’t forgive them. We talked about the fact that forgiveness brings peace into all spheres of life. We also talked about the fact that Jesus has reconciled all men to God. There were a lot of questions!! Many expressed and said: “But how can we be reconciled with their parents?” I simply said: “Not possible to man is possible with God”. I also remember that when we were having the last lessons – we own themes were preparing children for Christmas. At the last lesson we talked about Christmas from the different sides. Purpose of this lesson is more to acquaint children with the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ. On completion of this lesson we brought things that we gave the guys. Many kids went in very bad things. For them we brought sweaters, jackets, trousers, shirts. It was great to see the grateful eyes of children.
We would like to thank all the people involved with us financially and prayerfully. Thank you very much!! We ask you in the future not to leave the matter, giving to children living hope!! It is that, which deprived children are orphans.
With respect team of the ministry of orphans in Belarus!

In October: Belynichy orphan ministry

Posted: October 24, 2011 by Dzmitry Nachyna in Belinichy

Well, the school year started! We do not stop our trips to the orphans.
I know they need our love, our hugs, and they still need attention and understanding.
There are children with mental and physical disabilities in Belynichy boarding school. You have no idea how much these kids need God’s love and healing.
We started this school year with just coming there and sharing our love, warmth, attention with them! Each of us listened to the kids’ stories about their summer vacations. And our next trip was special because we invited a puppet ministry team. They prepared for the children a very interesting presentation, and the children with fascinating faces and great interest were watching and listening to what the dolls were telling them. So the children also sang songs, played and prayed together with us.

We believe that this year will be fruitful, and we believe that some dreams of these children will come true! Every time these kids are waiting for us, waiting for those people who will love them and that will be their guide!
Thank you dear friends for your prayers and for your support! May God bless you!

Remember that God loves the orphans, and he urged us to take care of them. So let’s not be indifferent but make every effort to help those who are without parents!
