LOVE 4 THE CHILDREN

Another month has come to an end. God has given us the opportunity to serve His children. I am very grateful God for strength, time, desire, and especially for the love that I feel more and more toward these children! This month, we talked about Jesus Christ with our older children. We discussed the meaning of the phrase “your sins are forgiven” if you believe in Him. We tried to paint it in pictures. The younger children learned the basics of the Bible, that is this wonderful book, who wrote it and why, and also made small “mini Bibles” with his own hands. Moreover, we reminded all children that they are special to God because He created them and gave them special noses, ears, and eyes….! Cartoon by Lucado “You are special” helped us to do this. We learned the song from the movie and came up our own movements. This month, the population of orphanage has increased by 4 kids. They are all brothers and sisters. The younger brother (7 years old) was sent in hospital right away. He has some problems with his heart! We are grateful to God that the other 4 children returned to their families. Pray for the families of these children to change and them to return home. Also pray for the sown seed to grow in their hearts and their parents to be influenced through their children!

At the moment, in orphanage of Smilovici, the number of children has reduced by 5 children. Some children were taken back to their families. Now we have to pray and hope that children will never leave their moms and dads again. We have to pray for children to keep in mind their knowledge about Jesus and tell their parents about Him.
This month we were telling children who Jesus is, about His purpose of coming in this world. We also told them about the way to get to Heaven. Except Bible Studies, we were holding a lot of interesting games. Some of the games were held for all ages, for other games children had to be distributed into small age-groups. At the moment, we have more children of 3-6 years old than other ages. Children have learned some new songs and revised the songs that they already know. At one of the handicraft lessons children made bracelets using many-colored beads. Each color had each own sense in it. By the end of the lesson, children had many-colored bracelets and learned another bible story. It was a pity that we didn’t have enough time. We feel that older children lack of personal communication. Somebody is happy about conversations with their parents on the phone and they want to talk about this. Somebody is upset. So next month, if it is God’s will we are planning to spend more time with children, talking to them in private. Especially it’s very important for older guys.

Another month has gone, and once again we would like to tell you about the blessings that the Lord showed us at Smilovichi!
This month there were a lot of kids at the shelter (21 children). We have been pleased and sad at the same time: pleased – because we had the opportunity tell about Jesus Christ to more children, and sad – because so many parents have refused to take care of their own kids!
This month we been talking to the children about the prayer and tried to pray with them more. We have already talked, but still will have more conversations with children about Jesus Christ, His life and strength, about salvation and faith.
This month God has blessed us to divide children to junior and senior and conduct classes separately. The younger kinds every time ould hear about Jesus at their own level, sing songs and make beautiful crafts. And with the older children we had a very close and warm conversation about Jesus Christ!
On Christmas Eve, our team has made for each child a gift. We have given those presents to children during the puppet show. The kids loved the puppet performance. They have actively participated in the program, played games, sang songs and with great joy opened their gifts!

Good morning, evening, afternoon! I’m very glad you read our news, pray and feel for orphans, as well as we do and God does! Lately I’ve noticed that I started to count days before the next meeting with children! Our conversations with them become closer and more opened. We talked about sin recently, how it damages us, our relationships with close people and especially our families. One evening the children shared their stories of getting into orphanage. They all told about what happened in their lives, except for one girl. At that day we split all the children into 2 groups. With the older ones we spoke about how disbelief in God damages their own lives and lives of their parents. They had no happiness in their eyes, but we told them that if God gives them a chance to return to their families, they should talk to the parents about God! I sincerely believe these conversations will have fruit. I want not only to tell children about God, but also to get them as close to God as we are, so faith in God could light up in them at 12-13 years old, and they would spread the Gospel, first to their mothers and fathers. For younger children there was a special program, so they could play, talk to our team members and do creative tasks.

We met many new children in the new academic year. And we became very good friends with them. Every time they waited for us with impatience, we had group hugs and incredible joy together. Every time we leave children didn’t want to let us go. Everyone wanted to talk to us for as long as they can, they wanted to tell us about themselves and theirs study, showed us crafts, pictures and were telling us what they have learned when we have been away.
This month we had 3 trips to Smilovichi. First God’s creations – God created an Earth and how many day it was take to do these things. We didn’t tell them that God created a man, we just saved this fact for the next lesson to have much more time to explain them.
During the lesson, children molded from colored dough things that God created every day, and that was such a good opportunity for them to keep this craft and remember the lesson much better..
7 of October we had our second meeting. We talked about the most precious creation of God – man, God has given his heart to the man. We said that every child was created by God too, and God gave them names as like he gave names to Adam and Eve, that was good way to show them how good their names are, and they should love it. Plus we created every child name using pasta and paper, plastered with clay.
For last meeting we invite a Christian children’s puppet show with the program of “Creation” to show children what we have told them.
After each meeting they become more and more closer to us. It’s sad to say goodbye to them. In my heart I worry more and more about their future, as it’s becoming more and more obvious how much the miss home.
Indeed God created the Family, not orphanages. Everyone needs family.
