LOVE 4 THE CHILDREN

Greetings to you all!
School time is over. This year was quite diverse in activities. We had some difficulties, but the Lord blessed us through it all. Praise the Lord for everyone who’s been with us serving the orphans in our country!
This month we’ve taught children to be friendly. The life in the orphanage and kind of compition among kids often harden and make them very rude. Using an example of a good samaritain, we showed kids that whatever happens in our lives we should be always there for anyone who needs help. Children often ask us for some advice, so it shows that they trust us. One of the questions I’ve been recently asked is ” I’ve come to nowhere. How can I find the way out of this?” Also there were questions connected with parents and relationships with boys and girls. We chose the topic so that it would point out that there is always a way for God, He knows how to deal with anything. We took Jahir from the Bible as an example to show them that God cares about people and there is nothing impossible for Him. The children are very dissapointed and discouraged that their parents left them and they think nobody cares for them. But the Bible tells us, that Jesus always cares about people and their problems. We discussed different ways from different situations and pointed out that suiside or any other extrems are not the way out and never will be. Jesus says – “Don’t be afraid, just trust Me”. We also told the kids that they shouldn’t give up, even if the whole world will stand against them.
Leaving the room, boys and girls were saying that they needed support drom friends and adults. They were so grateful that we come and encourage them. We understand that it is only by God’s grace that we can come and talk to them on any topics. It’s so easy to get into depression if you don’t know God! There are many fatal outcomes among teenagers in Belarus. We feel so sorry for young boys and girls who didn’t hear on time that there is hope in God!
We are planning to run a summer camp for children from Belynichie boarding school in June. The team is getting ready for it and the children are looking forward to going there. Organising a camp is a great opportunity to shows kids in practise what the Bible tells us about.
 We believe that meanwhile it will bear fruits in the lives of children, and also mentors who are involved in running the camp. We know satan will try to atack us, to ruin our plans, to discourage us, so we are asking to keep praying for us and for this camp, which will be held 10 days beginning on the 9th June.

Brothers and sisters, we are so grateful that the Lord renews our strength and gives us hope! Our prayers are that God will also bless you and renew your strength every day and will give you hope in difficult circumstances. Certainly, Easter holiday was the biggest event this month! The festive program was organized for the children from Belynichsky boarding school. The children could hear an Easter message and see it. The theatrical group “Lily of Valleys” was invited on a visit. There was shown a story about birds who appeared once in a cage because of the envious person. Having lost freedom, birds became embittered, covered with wounds and lost hope. But thanks to the kind owner who won against the enemy and opened the cage, they received eternal freedom. It was not only a drama, but it was the real story how Jesus Christ rescued us and gave us freedom in the same way two thousand years ago.
Besides, the children heard a parable about the prodigal son on one of meetings. The purpose of this meeting was to show that God was ready to accept us as we were with all our sins, but a choice was for us. Besides Bible lesson we as always sang a lot, played and our team sang the song about the prodigal son for the children that day.
One more our meeting was just communication. Such meetings are useful to that we can pay more attention to each child. The members of our team usually spend time with the children in small groups. So we learn more about personal experiences of the children, about their study and what happens in their life. As we have opportunity to pray together with the children for their needs.
Thank God for His presence in the ministry to the orphans! And we are thankful to people who prays for us and for our ministry!

This month we have visited Belinichy orphanage three times. I would like to start with overview of our visits to this orphanage. Just a few months ago the hardest place for us to work was Belinichy orphanage. Sometimes after a visit to this orphanage we would return home with a feeling of being squeezed like a lemon. We have been praying for Belinichy orphanage for a long time. Every Monday our team has a meeting. During these meetings we make the plans for our visits and pray for the needs of our ministry, needs of each other and needs of those who support us. During the last several months we made Belinichy orphanage a priority. Specifically we have been praying for the administration of the orphanage and for the children. Probably in every orphanage of our ministry there upswing and downswings but most of all we felt it in Belinichy. We prayed, made analysis of our visits to Belinichy orphanage and discussed what we can change. And now, recently God has blessed our ministry and gave us ability to visit Belinichy orphanage more often. Thus it helped us to become closer to the children and talked more to them about God. We thank everyone who sacrificed their time and resources! And especially we thank those who in the gap have been praying for our ministry! The situation has changes very much, the doors of the orphanage have been opened for us – God has heard our prayers! But most of all we are joyful that we can see how the children are changing before our eyes!
This month we have talked with children about sin. We have talked that everyone is a sinner but there is a solution. This solution is Jesus Christ. That it is Him Who gave salvation to people. In our opinion children’s behavior is changing because in the topic of sin we discussed that intentionally or not but it is always a person who commits a sin. We have taught about patience and self-control so we would protect children from sin. We are happy to notice that the children have stopped to mock each other, less they ridicule somebody else’s limitations. Those are the steps we see in the change of their hearts. In one of our meetings we have showed a cartoon based on Max Lucado story “Green nose”. Many children want to look like those who show not the right example and through this cartoon we have showed what is going to be the result.
We are planning a June a summer camp for the children from this orphanage. Even right now we are praying that God would move! We come for a visit and leave but when we leave the orphanage we always pray that God will save and grow the seed that we have been planting there during the last several years.

We chose the Book of Books – the Bible as the main subject of our conversations with children in February.
We spoke with children why the Bible takes special place among a huge set of books (fantastic, informative, scientific, and different others). Because the Creator of the world speaks about Himself in it. He says how people should be with Him. The Bible tells stories of people who loved God, and teaches us to take example from them. Why do we read the Bible? We read it to understand what the Creator expects from us,to learn to live so that to become his children.
It seems to me very important to tell the children about it. There is a wish to believe that everything what they heard will help them in their future and that among many ways they will be able to distinguish and choose the correct one, and they will be able to avoid terrible mistakes and sins, having remembered the Creator.
I can’t but tell about children, and those discoveries which you make thanks to communication with them. It is not just about us teaching them. It is more. So, this month we run sport competitions with strong support of fans. We, teachers, also participated in the competitions.
These games really united us: children and leaders who run together with them, children among themselves. Children though compete, but they also worry about each other. They are able to come to the rescue. One girl, Polina was especially remembered to me: she was so attentive to her friends, she helped all. She rushed to catch a ball, to help the friend after a command “to jump” to jump in a bag!
I like to see these children open and sincere. They don’t pretend they are sincere. None of them should be persuaded, they are all very active.

We live in Belarus. In our country Christmas is celebrated twice a year. It’s a good time for our team, when we have more access to orphanages and even greater number of children and teachers, whom we can tell about Jesus Christ.
This month we had an opportunity to hold a Christmas program for children from Belinichy school – boarding. During December we came to these children and talked to them about Advent – the wait time for Christmas. In January, the culmination of all was the Christmas campaign. When we arrived to this school-boarding, children were already waiting for us. Everyone was exited who came with us and what was in that big boxes, which we brought.  There were some people with us, who showed a  puppet show. It was interesting to watch the kids for the way they learn, start asking questions about what will happen today, and then they began to talk about themselves.
The show had begun. All of the seats in the hall were occupied, all the children had come. Also there were present some educators and part of administrators of the boarding school. Christmas- is a good opportunity to remind people, no matter of their age, about God’s love and about the sense of this celebration. With the help of these puppets children and adults could better the essence of Christmas and with the aim of the Savior’s parish into the world. Besides the main performance, there were conduct various games and there was a good opportunity to learn good Christian songs with the children. After the Christmas performance children were given good Christmas presence. But we hope that the children could get not only the gifts of candy and hygiene items, but they also were able to experience what a great gift of God has done for us by sending His Son into the world.
Besides the festive program on Christmas, we also had meetings at which we told the children about the importance of  communication with God. We said that God does not always answer our prayers the way we would like Him to answer us. Because He knew better what we need, then we are. As usual, there was a variety in our way of communication with the children. There were different songs, games and individual communication. Here are our news for this month!
