In October:”Belinichy orphanage”

Posted: November 2, 2012 by Dobr9k in Belinichy

Hi! Thanks God, this month we had a possibility to visit the orphanage in Belinichy every week – in opposite to the previous month situation when due to the transport problems and lack of money we’ve been in Belinichy only twice.
This month we’ve got a lot of newcomers. We talked about the Bible, about the creation of the world, about a sin. Using the simplest illustrations we’ve tried to demonstrate to children, how wonderful the God’s world is, how God created the first men and how the sin came to be. For example, to demonstrate how powerful the sin is, we used an ordinary thread. We asked one boy to step forward, and tied up his hands with a thread. Then we asked him to release himself and he did it without any difficulties. He was happy to handle it so easily. That’s how the man thinks about a sin – he believes that he can simply set himself free in any time.
Then we tied boy’s hands with a thread four times. It wasn’t so easy this time, but finally the boy tore the threads. But, as we wanted to illustrate, that we often keep sinning against God on and on – we tore his hands with more and more threads, enumerating sins that people usually commit unaware of doing anything wrong. We named the theft, which makes people lazy, not able to earn for their leaving by a fair hard work, leading them to jail at last. Envy, which destroys relations, friendships, love between people, leads to murders and jail. Fornication, which often results in a sin of killing one’s own children – abortion. Hard drinking, which enslaves people and ruins their lives e t.c. Finally the boy found his hands braided with threads, which he couldn’t tore, even with the help of his friends (they could help but not using the scissors and not trying to tear threads with teeth). This illustration helped us to explain how strong and dangerous the sin is – even so it looks as inoffensively as a thread.
That’s how we trying to illustrate the Bible lessons.
We are faithfully to those people, who pray for us and who makes donation so that we could continue our lessons!

In September: ”Belinichy orphanage”

If we talk about our ministry in Belynichy boarding this month, it had its difficulties and wins! At this point, most of the kids who attended our communication are already out of the orphanage. They were distributed to study in different cities. Some were immediately sent to work after school. So now we have to go in contact with the new guys, and from the beginning to lay in their biblical basis. Now we try to get to know better the new guys to further invite them to our meetings and maintain contact with them. One of our meetings, we spent just acquaintance and personal contact with the children. At subsequent meetings, we have tried to show that what qualities God has and how its individual features we see in our lives. For some guys it was a completely new information, but also the boys, for whom this information was good repetition.
There was also a great opportunity to give the children clothes and shoes. It was a big help for them. Because not all of the guys there are good things and quality shoes for fall and winter. Therefore, we are especially grateful to those who helped to collect these things! And separately thank those involved in ministry to orphans prayerfully and financially!

In May:”Belinichy orphanage”

In May, we again had the opportunity to organize more trips to the Belynichi orphanage. This is not often, so it is especially pleased for us! As always, we had the opportunity to play with the children, tell them something new and important, sing and just talk personally with those who are especially need in it. The program of this month was very busy, but on our meetings were fewer children than usual, because some of them have already left for vacation in Italy. In addition, some children leave school this year and soon they will be sent to study in different colleges. On the one hand we are happy that they soon will enter into an adult and independent live. We rejoice that they will be free from hard and depressing life in an orphanage, but at the same time we worry that the guys will not get lost in this world that they will not left without help and support that they need so much.
This month cam
e to and end. Children, who can not spend the summer in Italy or elsewhere, will be left on one month in the orphanage, where they are most likely to work in the garden or helping to repair the building of the orphanage. And then they will be distributed to different camps. By the end of August, we probably will not be able to see the guys, so we ask you to pray with us that the God will save their lives and for they do not forget what we were trying to teach them all year long!

In April: Belinichy orphanage

In April we had opportunity to hold two additional events in the Belynichi orphanage. It was great joy for us and for children from orphanage. In addition to our regular fellowships, one of the meetings, we have dedicated the theme: “Easter.” We told children the history of this holiday and also about the main goal of Jesus coming in our world. It was great that we could hold this meeting because a lot of children didn’t know about the gist of the holiday. Some of them thought that Easter is a Jesus birth; some said that it is a holiday of cakes and painted eggs!! We tried to tell to children as much as possible about the greatest sacrifice in the men’s history.
Besides we hold two meetings “Offense” and “Competition”. In other orphanages we had hold such meetings. But children from this orphanage need we touch them to respect elders, to protect the younger and be friendly towards people. It is for these children, especially hard to trust someone and be a friend to someone. It is because they were left by their children in their childhood, they lack of love, attention and care. Besides children from this orphanage have physical and mental developmental disorders. So one of our main goals – is to help socialize orphans in our society.
In April we had good opportunity to visit in Belynichi church. We were glad to know that nearly 14 orphans visit Sunday’s services. In the church, they get a bit of love, attention and care and also they can visit Sunday school where they can hear about God, communicate with other children not only from their orphanage but they find friends among children having parents. In my opinion, it also contributes to the development of orphans, as well as making them more open and communicative. Moreover they have ability to play games, to sing songs and have a good time…

In March: Belinichy orphanage

This month we were able to visit Belinichy boarding school only two times. Unfortunately, we have no financial opportunity to visit the children of this orphanage more often – this hostel is located 150 kilometers (95 miles) from Minsk. But we hope that God is able to solve this problem! Due to the smaller number of meetings we discuss in Belinichy boarding school themes which were discussed in other boarding schools a month ago.
The first meeting was devoted to the theme “Hostility”. This issue is one of the most relevant for children of any boarding school, because they often lack love and friendship. We often see how older teenagers hurt younger ones, we see how difficult it is for them to be obedient and how difficult it is to avoid conflicts. On the one hand, nobody knows in what way would he act being in such circumstances, but on the other hand, our aim is to show the children that life in love and peace is real! We explain that hostility is the result of wrong priorities in life.
To the second meeting we’ve invited a puppet show again. The dolls told the children how important it is to forgive each other and how God himself has forgiven all of us and made a great gift for all people – he sent his Son to the Earth to save us. We hope that despite the small number of our meetings something good will remain in the hearts of these children, and we do hope that their lives will change for the better!
