In December: “Rudensk orphanage”

Posted: December 31, 2021 by Dzmitry Nachyna in Rudensk

Greetings, dear brothers and sisters! We thank everyone who prayed for our ministry and for the orphans! WiTQctliSp4We are glad that together with you and God we can expand the kingdom of God by carrying the gospel!

In December, we had the opportunity to visit the Rudensky boarding school 5 times. If you look at the photos, you will notice children who used to be in elementary school and did not attend our meetings. We went to their groups and held Bible meetingsqpWimX3WuSM there. But time goes by and now these guys have matured and they are allowed to come to our general meetings. We are glad that we once laid the foundation and now we see the fruits! This month we gave more opportunities to children to pray and participate in joint prayers. What are the children asking for? “Dear God, help me win in competitions, and also give me understanding in school subjects in order to study better.” “Lord, I ask you to take me home for the winter holidays.” “Lord, help the virus to leave our country.” “Thank you for being here and already helping us.” Simple words and thoughts about the urgent. But A8-gejwZRpsthese are the first steps, and they please us. We see how children feel safe when they come to meetings. We can reflect with the guys about the lives of biblical heroes. Recently we talked about Esther and how she conquered her fears! We also remembered Ruth and her loyalty to Naomi, as well as how Boaz was a relative of the redeemer. If it wasn’t for Boaz, then most likely they would have lived in poverty and died quickly. When we talked about Boaz, we said that he saved the lives of Ruth and Naomi, but faith in Christ gives us redemption and salvation. Usually, there lijTctmkaK8are a lot of questions after such serious topics. For example: “What should the people do to stop the famine (this story is about Naomi and her husband)”? I replied that if the people repented for their sins, there would be no famine at all. So in our life, we think if we move somewhere, our personal life will change, but life depends the relationship with God only! Boaz paid for the land to redeem it, as well as for Naomi’s debts, and Jesus Christ redeemed us from our sins. We also talked to the guys about Jonah. They talked about how the disobedience of one person could lead to the death of an entire city. And how God is interested in saving unbelieving cruel people. Then we discussed that we, as people, decide for ourselves who to kJKc6LqXw30help and who not. But God shows his heart, and it is full of love. We didn’t choose Him, but He chose us when we were still sinners. The guys were very hooked, because “such love is simply impossible in our world” – the guys said! Then I looked and said: “Artem, God loves and gives everyone a chance. He does not want any man to perish, so He sent His Son to save and reconcile people and God.”

Also this month we talked about the Nativity of Jesus. We talked about the2ciaVTjhVuA fact that the world lies in sin, but God does not care and He wants salvation. The birth of Jesus Christ was a decision of God and a plan to save man from his own sin. We talked about the fact that the baby Jesus was born in a stable, about how Joseph did not believe Mary and how the Angel confirmed that the savior of the world was born. Everyone knows the story, but we also watched and analyzed the angel’s words about peace on earth. Peace came to the earth only when Jesus came. It was His Birth and later life that reconciled people and God through faith. “And what is the Nativity of Jesus Christ for you?”-I Everyone has their own associations connected with Christmas. Someone associates it with dreams, someone with holiday decorations and gifts. Looking back on how this month has passed and how this year has passed, I thank God for His guidance! After all, thanks to His grace, we could make trips to boarding schools, bring joy and hope to children! Thank God for everything! Merry Christmas!

In December: “Vileyka orphanage”

Hello everyone! We are so glad that God has opened Vileika orphan boarding school for visiting! For p2BjMiOZuYYmore than six months we could not attend school because of the coronavirus. But, thank God, this month we were able to travel and build relationships with the guys and school administration again!

We came to the school again in early December. A lot of guys didn’t remember us and it was very sad. Nevertheless,13m4QL9fiok we gathered all the guys in the event hall and tried to remind them who we are. The first topic for discussion was: “Time to dream.” Many guys told me that they don’t know how to dream. The fact that the guys were extremely open and actively involved in our conversation surprised me. The housemasters of the orphanage were present during that discussion, as they informed us later, and also were thinking about their dreams. For the first time I could see housemasters of the orphanage who are not distracted during discussion. Now they really listened to the topic and tried to discuss it with us. Thank god! The next time we visited the children they were already waiting for us. It was so nice to see how the guys ran out to meet us and everyone wanted to tell us about something that had IVyJlI3s0yIhappened to them recently! At this meeting we talked about the importance of forgiveness. Forgiveness is a problem for many children who live in orphanages and orphan boarding school. We know that unforgiveness destroys lives and breaks destinies. This is what we also found out at the first meeting when the guys talked about themselves and about their loved ones. One expression sounded like this: “I will never forgive!” Our team realized that the topic of forgiveness is important more than ever! Our meeting began and we talked about the petition and about forgiveness and unforgiveness and what God says about it. We tried to explain that forgiveness is a process and there was much debate about that during the meeting. We ended up saying that ifXlZVA1f6HJo forgiveness is very difficult for you then ask Jesus to be the one who forgive your offenders on your behalf and the ice began melting! Unforgiveness has lived in children`s hearts for years and now freedom came. Also, on the eve of the Christmas holidays we talked about Christmas. We reminded them of the purpose of Jesus coming and now they can be at peace with God through Jesus. The guys have so much wrong stereotypes about the Christmas in their heads so we had to make a lot of efforts to clear it all _vfeTMcBpQEup for them. A lot of children thought that Santa Claus is Jesus! And some of the guys even said that Santa Claus and Jesus are relatives. Someone said that Jesus is a superhero. We realized that a lot of new guys who have not been present in our meetings have a lot of false conceptions about God. We told them biblical story of Christmas. About the angel who came to Mary and about Jesus supernatural birth and what He experienced in first hours of His human life. We told them that the Son of God wasn’t given any room to stay so He was born in a stable pttQZcbAZ6Iand laid on a straw. The shepherds came first to worship God and the only thing they could give to Him was their hearts. When the meeting came to an end many children from the sixth grade asked for a children’s bible. “We want to know more about God, give us bibles for Christmas.” Oh, it was so pleasant to hear! When we were driving back to home all of us were glad that none of the children asked for toys or phones, they asked for bibles instead! We are so glad that the boarding trips have resumed. So many children need the joyful news about God’s love to each of them. Thank you so much for your prayers for us! We believe that joint service to the children will glorify our God even in a greater measure!

In December: ”Belinichy orphanage”

Hello to you, brothers and sisters!

This month we’ve had five trips to the Belynichi orphanage. Belynichi is the furthest place where the team SAZ-NiyeXr0that serves the orphans goes. This month many children have come back to the school from the hospital. We could see how the orphanage got filled with more children, and more of them started to attend our meetings. Gena was in the hospital for more than three weeks. He has a skin disease. When we met with him, he said he had missed all our team and the school. He asked God to help him come back to school as soon as possible. ‘Thanks to God, I am home!’ Gena said. I thought it was great that the children were praying outside the school building! This month we have talked about grumbling. We forget about theG96Wi42QYg0 blessings that we have so quickly! Talking about this problem, we took the example of Moses and told the children about the consequences that the people of Israel had because of their resentment. We tried to connect this story with our lives. The people of Israel were dissatisfied with Moses and God. ‘And what about us?’ I asked. Children can very often be dissatisfied with their teachers, the food, or the room, in which they have to live. People need to be grateful but they often grumble and say bad words instead. As a result, it leads to bad consequences. The serpents bit the people in the story with Moses, but in our life, we will receive a xGyI-ozOUH4bad attitude. People won’t love us and treat us very badly. In that case, we might not be allowed to get the education and get into nursing homes. Obedience and gratitude open hearts and give us opportunities that can change life for the better. We also talked about Esther. She was an orphan but God made her a queen. God left these stories as examples for us. We also mentioned low self-esteem and that when we are obedient to God and our teachers our life becomes ordered. Faith in God and spending time with Him through prayer can change our life as it was with Esther. Esther overcame her fears due to her faith in God. We can also overcome our fears, lack of confidence, and failures just by having our faith. It is faith that opens the doors to opportunities and gives confidence.

During one of our trips, we talked about Jonah, where we wanted toDmpDVO1y_fk underline that God’s love covers everything. We, human beings, are picky. We love those who love us and hate those who don’t love us. But this story has shown us God’s heart and how much He wants that people will come to peace with Him. God leads Jonah through such trials and miracles to save the people of Nineveh. God loves us although we don’t choose Him, don’t believe in Him, and constantly make him upset. But God 4d6QdrxBTfochose to love us, He chose all of us so nobody could perish! Despite his lack of love Jonah eventually fulfilled his mission and the whole nation was saved. The life of a person sometimes depends on the Gospel! We spoke with the children that each of us had to make the decision like the people of Nineveh did. Our future depends on this decision.

Simple AvKbIMVP9Kolessons sow the seeds of faith in a heart. We are so glad that the children are interested in knowing about God and that they put into practice what they hear during our meetings. Also, the last Thursday we told them about the birth of Jesus Christ. The children watch a lot of different performances during the winter holidays but none of them tell about the real meaning of Christmas. We reminded the children what Christmas means to us. God created the world, then sin came into the world through Adam and Eve’s disobedience. After that, Cain killed Abel because of his jealousy. Sin had been spreading with great speed and God saw that people couldn’t be saved from this so He sent His Son Jesus Christ to Earth. Anyway, we see that when Jesus Christ was born, He didn’t have a place in any hotel or a house but only in the manger. Jesus reconciled people with God. I asked the children what there could have been if Jesus hadn’t been born and they answered: ‘We wouldn’t be able to be saved’. That was the correct answer! Christmas is a holiday of hope and reconciliation! We are so happy that we could serve the orphans in Belynichi this year! Thank you so much for praying for us and our children! Glory be to God that we can bring the Gospel to the place where it is needed so much!

In December: “Smilovichi orphanage”

This month, a new child was added to the Smilovichi shelter – Maxim, whom we have already known, _iZMYdcR1Fo (1)because he was there a few years ago. His situation 9OGIDEMd-z4in the family was more complicated, the parents did not give him proper care and now he experienced a new pain. When we had a meeting, he was very happy and he said that he remembered us and very happy to see us again!

Before Christmas, we finished the biblical lessons in the Old Testament and spoke with children about Samson and Ruth, their lives, obedience and disobedience to God and what consequences it led. AsDlgVr-Z_0uTt49-9NKr0For example Samson. We explained that obedience to God is always a blessing and the Lord does not ask us to do something impossible or commit a bad act. People can make sin or advise incorrectly, but our Heavenly Father will never! On the example of Ruth, we told about how God loves us and takes care of us despite difficult times or circumstances. We stressed many times the loyalty to God and his ability to fix everything in our lives if we trust him and sincerely ask for help.

aR_6YKjO8EkDuring Christmas, we bought a cake and prepared gifts for each child. Diana prepared a statement in which it was very affordable about the true sense of the holiday of the Nativity of Christ. Then children were eating the cake and talking . At the end of the meeting we distributed gift boxes and children were really pleased! Milana even looked around with happiness and said that she had always dreamed of such a gift. Each child was happy, grateful and truly experienced God’s limitless love and care. Glory to Him!
