There has come a new academic year, and we have started the service at orphanage school in Rudensk. During summer, younger children have strongly grown up,
and graduates left school and went to study to other cities. At the meetings there were many new children with whom we are going to meet during this year. This academic year we have decided to begin with stories about people from the Old Testament.
Lessons were very practical because the characters in stories were very bright.
Just at the beginning we have told children Cain and Abel’s story. This time we considered more deeply the character of Abel who has lived the most usual, not very special and short life, at first sight. But, despite of it Abel became the winner because he lost terrestrial, but he has got eternal life with God as he was always faithful to the Heavenly Father. The following hero was Noah.
We told about his obedience and God’s promise not to destroy the earth by flood ever. Noah was very obedient to God in spite of the fact that the whole world laughed at him. His firmness and patience became a good example for children.
We had three meetings dedicated to Abraham!
We told about how he had obeyed God and how God had blessed him. Children tried to imagine the number of stars in the sky, and then imagined that they can receive all these blessings of Abraham in Christ.
Besides we told a story about fidelity and devotion of Abraham when he had, perhaps, the most difficult choice in his life … “God will discern – God said when Isaak had been saved “. God will discern – it was our advice to children for the next week and for all life!
Younger children have meetings separate from older children. The main hero of this month was a shepherd David who had a kind heart. He could win not only a furious lion and a bear, but also and Goliath who kept the people in God’s awe for a long time. He could do this because he was faithful and he trusted to God!
We are very glad that we have had an opportunity to communicate with children this month. Thanks to all who care for our service prayerfully and financially! The Lord will bless you!

Greetings, dear readers! Finally, the long-awaited summer came. We believe that it is possible to do good, serve God and bring glory to God the Father. We thank you, friends, who serve and pray for us. We believe that together with you we can change the destinies of children.
The last bell rang, and the children in the boarding schools are now on vacation, and the graduates of the boarding schools are preparing for the exams.
Today I want to tell you about one teenager. His name is Vlad. This young man has been visiting us for the past three years. We see how much the Lord has influenced his faith through our visits. But approaching the graduation, we see that fear appears in his eyes. Every time we go from a boarding school, I pray that the Father will keep him. Vlad was born in a dysfunctional family, and he has several brothers and sisters. The children in this family follow the pattern of their parents’ lives, and unfortunately, the life of children in this family does not change.
Therefore, I wish Vlad to succeed in this life. Vlad is open-minded, trustful, very modest, hardworking and sympathetic. Now it’s time to take exams and graduate from a boarding school. I would like to ask you to pray together with us, that Vlad, who has already prayed the prayer of repentance, will not fall away from God and His love.
This month, when we visited the Ruden boarding school, we told the children how important it is to have peace with God, despite the fact that soon some of the children will have a lot of freedom after they finish their studies at the orphanage. We said that through having peace with God, we gain confidence in the future. We also talked about faithfulness. Faithfulness in dealing with people, and faithfulness in the relationship with God. At theses meetings, we showed the faithfulness and love of God.
The graduates are often betrayed and they get disappointed. That’s why we wished to remind them of the faithfulness of God, to encourage them to stay faithful to God in spite of the leaving the orphanage.
We also talked about freedom from sin. We believe that it is the Lord who can give freedom from sin, fears, and curses. The children in the boarding schools are in great need of peace, faithfulness and freedom.
We believe that by talking to the children on current topics and spending the time with them and praying for orphans, their lives will be changed. Let ‘s pray that the Lord will keep the children on the vacation, and that the word of God will work in their hearts.
May is always a joyful and a little bit sad month at the same time. It is joyful because it gets warmer,

nature comes to life and everyone looks forward to summer. But it is sad because senior students graduate from the orphan school and leave it forever. On the one hand we are happy that they say goodbye to their school but on the other hand we have to say goodbye to them.
We maintain relations with many orphans after their graduation but there are the children that we won’t see anymore. We can just hope and believe that they will find a church in the places they go to study and work and will continue to build up relationships with God.
This month we introduced God’s qualities to the older ones. They learnt what the following truths mean:
‘God is Light’, ‘God is the Bread of Life’, ‘God id the Way’. Why did we take such topics? We want the children to know how unique and great our God is and how much He can do in the heart of a person who let Him enter his or her heart. Besides, we arranged boys’ and girls’ time. We spoke about the importance of keeping pure with the girls again.
And we spoke about tattoos and their origin and read what the Bible said about them. One of meetings was arranged in the form of the relay race. The children in Rudensk orphan school are keen on sport, so such an activity is a good opportunity for spending time not only with the children who come to our meetings but also with those who don’t come to us.
Smaller children usually have their own program. Besides a bible lesson they watch Christian cartoons,
draw, do crafts and play. This month we met new biblical characters and their life stories: ‘Joseph’, ‘Samson’, ‘Ruth’ and ‘Samuel and Elijah’. It’s great that these children perceive bible lessons very well and react emotionally when they see injustice, danger,
betrayal and when they see God’s miracles that took place in our characters’ lives. We believe that in spite of their mental and physical disabilities these children will hear the truth and one day they let God in their hearts!
We have four more meetings with the children in this study year. After that the graduates will leave their orphan school forever and the rest of the children will go to state camps till the end of summer. We ask our readers to pray for the children not to forget the truths they have heard during the school year.
Hello dear friends!
It’s such a pleasure to describe those events and changes that are happening in the ministry to orphans in our country. This month we had even a bigger desire to talk about the victory of Jesus Christ.
Because the whole world first froze in anticipation, and then in celebration of the Resurrection of Christ. So coming to the Rudensk orphanage we also wanted to share the basics of the christian faith. We talked a lot both in the class but also in our private conversations about the true reason why people celebrate and what Easter means personally for each one of us. People forgetting about God and His Son give too much meaning to the colored eggs as a symbol of the Resurrection of
Christ and easter cakes as a transition from the old testament to the new one. It turns out that people in our country know more about eggs and easter cakes than the Easter itself!
The new kids and those who came to us from the junior classes are also lost in the answers for this question: “So what does Easter actually mean?” And because of this during this celebration month we spent two meetings talking about this topic. A lot of teenagers join our meetings and it’s such a pleasure to see changes in the lives of these kids. The word that is shared gets deep into the hearts and it starts to change the kids.
Kids get confidence that God cares for them and they also start to make goals and look for ways of how to reach them. Even in the beginning of this year kids that graduate this year couldn’t answer such questions as “Where do you want to study” or “What are you dreaming about”. But today these kids don’t just answer the questions about their dreams, studies but they are also hoping to be in places where there will be a church for them. We can feel that these kids want some changes in their lives.
And if they let God into their hearts these changes will happen for sure!
Moreover this month we had “boys’ night” and “girls’ night” – meetings when boys and girls meet separately. This kind of atmosphere helps to raise touchy topics. Girls were talking about horoscopes, how they came to be, about the influence that they can have on a person’s life and what danger they carry. With boys we were talking about how much lies there are in this world.
How to learn to discern it and how to react to something that’s truly good and something that is evil.
Recently we met with a graduate of this orphanage. Her name is Vika and we can see that she is struggling. Despite her young age she is pregnant. The father of the child left her and abandoned his future daughter. She is quite desperate at the moment, and there is new pain in her heart and a new betrayal. In early childhood Vika was left by her parents and most of her life she spent in the orphanage. And now her beloved left her. We are praying for a safe pregnancy and birth of her child. And also our prayer is that her future daughter won’t be taken into an orphanage right out of the hospital.
When Coming for a visit to the orphanage we want to see changes in the lives of the kids. Our dream is that they will find faith and hope which they really need after graduating from the orphanage.
Dear friends, thank you that you pray for us!
Hello everybody!
We continue visiting Rudensky boarding school.
For a long time, in the boarding school, we hold meetings with one of the younger groups and with older guys. For the younger group we conduct engaging lessons with the stories of the
Old Testament using lots of illustrations. This month, we told and showed the lessons of the tower of Babel, told about Abraham , Lot and his family, and about the situation in the desert with Ishmael and Hagar. We are glad that they are able to analyze on their children level, they do remember the lessons and do practical conclusions. At the end of lesson we often ask questions to consolidate the material, and they answer questions in simple words.
With the seniors group we spoke on a few topics. One of the topics was about sin. Guys always carefully listen to the stories of real people and their examples. We showed examples from the lives of graduates, the consequences of wrong decisions and sin.
Unwanted pregnancy is a waste of money, poor health, suicide. Such examples allow children to understand the importance of proper life, the life without sin. At the meeting, which was devoted to the international women’s day, we told the children about the origins of this holiday and talked to them about how important it is to appreciate our beautiful ladies.
One evening, we talked with the guys, on the subject of correcting their mistakes. All the people often make mistakes, and they need to fix it. And the example of the prodigal son, we looked at how to behave when an error has already been committed, but not yet fixed.
Once we held relay races, where all tasks were carried out with bananas. It was a very fun time when guys could just relax and enjoy the fellowship with us in the form of a game. And, of course, to eat delicious bananas.
At the last meeting of the month we had a bachelor party and a bachelorette party. We talked with the guys about the ability to manage your money. Some of the guys who come to us, after a few months will graduate, and they will have to cope with their problems, including financial. How to prevent financial collapse and earn money – these are the questions we discussed with the guys. We are glad that we have the ability to communicate with children, to teach them something useful and tell them about God.
