I would like to share with you my impressions about our visits to the orphanage in Rudensk and tell you about our children. Wednesday, it’s 1
8.50. At this time our team normally greets and hugs the children. Then they have dinner, we wish them “Bon appetite” and go to the classroom to prepare for our meeting. Sometimes all toget
her and sometimes one by one they come into the classroom. Communication, prayers, games, jokes, personal talks, the discussion of the biblical topics and their application in the children’s lives – all is actual and fine. But most of all I like personal talks with a particular child. This way I can deeper 
understand his or her inner world. During the last two visits I talked with Alesya. At night during a week he dre
amt about her mother who is now dead. In this dream the mother offered Alesya to join her. So she was scared to go to bed. She was afraid that she can accept her mother’s invitation. After such a touching story I decided to pay a special attention to this girl. We prayed together, recollected what the Bible tells about dreams, God and protection. Then we talked about her mother, her thoughts and feelings. A week later a cheerful girl said that she didn’t suffer from those dreams anymore and she wasn’t scared. I hope Alesya believes in the power of prayer after all these difficulties.
“November 9 is the World Day of Prayer for Orphans. If you care about the futures of orphans, you can make a difference! You may not only pray for orphans during the day, but also visit them in orphanages, run charity campaigns at you local church or organization. Besides that, during your church service you may devote sermons, songs, poems etc. to this issue.”
I’m very grateful to God for this new school year! Because we started going to Smilovichi or
phanage again. Children there co
me and go, but nevertheless we manage to show them that they can trust us and they do, they tell us what’s going on in their lives, about their studies and their worries.
We met new kids this year and became good friends with them. There aren’t many of them at the moment, so we have closer communication with them. This month, as well as the previous ones, we have been talking about God, and we continue to talk about His character. To make our meetings livelier, we added some more songs and games. It’s such a wonderful feeling when we are with these kids. It seems like time is flying so fast when we are together, so we are trying to do a
s many things as we can, to share as more love and give attention as we can.
Last week two new children arrived to the orphanage. It’s a boy and a girl. It’s so sad that their parents didn’t want their children anymore. We are trying to become friends with them too, and I think we are making progress in it.
It’s so amazing and heart-warming that children are always looking forward to seeing us. So I I’d like to say: if 
you want to do something good, orphanages and boarding-schools are the places you should go. These are pl
aces where no one expects you to have cool clothes, to be famous and rich. Orphans need your care, love and attention. And you can give it to them. The most important things are how you treat other people and weather you love God the way you say you do.
Many thanks to God for this chance to serve in the orphanage playing with the kids, talking with them about God and for new desks that we manage to get for them. We are thankful to those who contributed into it. It was such a joy to see happy faces of the kids as well as the teachers. Praise the Lord for everything!
In October we continued to tell children about miracles which Jesus performed at the time of his life on Earth. On each meeting we tell about different miracles that He performed for different people. We tell children that Jesus healed, rescued and even resurrected people from the dead. 
We also tell them that Jesus is alive today and His is capable to perform miracles today if a person gives his live to Jesus completely! At first it seemed that the lessons were too difficult for children but when we started to ask questions about previous
lessons children were able to answer most of the questions! But most of all we are happy that children understand that Jesus saw the heart of every person and that He saved and healed him according to his faith! And the children retold us this by themselves with their own words! Besides Bible lessons as usually we sing a lot with children, play games and sometimes play sport games and have creative lessons.
The most joyful new development for us is the ability to have meetings with small children! Presently we conduct two different programs in two different rooms at the same time: one for older children and one for small kids. What is more exciting is that teachers on their own initiative bring to us the whole classes of small kids. 
Despite their young age and health problems these kids remember well the stories about God. To date, they already learned 3 new songs and that is not so easy for them. Also we strive to develop their memory and that is easy because the children themselves want to retell us what they have heard at the lesson. At the end of a meeting we conduct creativity lessons. After the meetings we return home with joy and inspiration and as soon as we are outside of territory of the orphanage we already eagerly looking forward to the next meeting with our children.
Well, my friends! Finally we are together again! But with the children we have been together during th
e whole month and that’s what happened to us: many children in His mercy and love have been returned back to their families or have been taken in a foster home. Before the summer we had around 20 people, and in the beginning of 
eptember, only 7 and all of them were girls. Our first lesson was held on September 2. On this day, we played a lot on the street, running, screaming, got acquainted with those whom we didn’t know and there was a lot of fun! On th
e next lesson we saw the children who knew very little of our God, and to be confident in His love and mercy to us, we began to study His character through His names. The Name of the 
Lord is a strong tower, in which we can always take refuge in the quiet time and during storms and experiences. And also our Lord is a strong and powerful Creator as well, who gave each of us life and even more of that. He defined and our external features: the figure, eye color, our hair, smile, and more, and after looking at us He said that we are excellent! Girls like our lessons very much, our songs and games as well. Let’s hope that in the future we will also have a wonderful time with them! Let His mercy be with us and in the further! Please, pray for us!
