In May:”Belinichy orphanage”

Posted: May 30, 2012 by Dobr9k in Belinichy

In May, we again had the opportunity to organize more trips to the Belynichi orphanage. This is not often, so it is especially pleased for us! As always, we had the opportunity to play with the children, tell them something new and important, sing and just talk personally with those who are especially need in it. The program of this month was very busy, but on our meetings were fewer children than usual, because some of them have already left for vacation in Italy. In addition, some children leave school this year and soon they will be sent to study in different colleges. On the one hand we are happy that they soon will enter into an adult and independent live. We rejoice that they will be free from hard and depressing life in an orphanage, but at the same time we worry that the guys will not get lost in this world that they will not left without help and support that they need so much.
This month cam
e to and end. Children, who can not spend the summer in Italy or elsewhere, will be left on one month in the orphanage, where they are most likely to work in the garden or helping to repair the building of the orphanage. And then they will be distributed to different camps. By the end of August, we probably will not be able to see the guys, so we ask you to pray with us that the God will save their lives and for they do not forget what we were trying to teach them all year long!

School year almost is over. Vacation is coming and in the nearest future children leaves the school.
I am thankful to all of you dear friends who have support and pray for us over a year. I would like you to pray together with us for the children during their vacation time. Number of accident is increased over their vacation time. I would like also to write you about our ministry in Rudensk. Well, for a start, I would like to tell you that we have visited the orphanage five times. We have focused on God’s view to a different part of our life. We have conducted meetings with the children on themes such as: sin is truth, life of Jesus Christ, eternal life it is gift from the Lord, relationship with God, your life it is your choose. Finally, we have invited the children to repent their sings and praise the Lord some of them came up to us at the end of the meeting and said about their repentance. We have five children who have repented their sins. We have started to work more deeply with the children who had repented. We use in our ministry with them material of Bible correspondence courses. We have work with the children and help them to stay firm in the Lord and do not become weak in their faith. I would ask you to pray for them that God would bless their faith and they would not abandon God. There are a lot of temptations and people who want to destroy their faith. I ask you to pray that God would strengthen them spiritually and help them keep their faith in Him till the end.
Dear friend, we have done this ministry for year and we could able do it thanks to God’s mercy and unconditional love. And thanks to your faithful partnership. Our hearts are filled with gratitude to God and you who support us. We thank you for your open hearts.

In May: “Grozovo orphanage”

Hello everybody! May is the last study month, then there are holidays. Children are waiting for it when they’ll leave the orphanage. In March and April, we spent most of the time the lessons of morality, which affected the attitudes and behavior among their peers. May we decided to dedicate fully to Jesus and what He did for us. First, we spoke on the theme of “sin”, what is its nature and consequences. In this theme were discussed such issues as the concept of sin, that it is inextricably linked with God that sin is a state, not just misdemeanors, sin is a replacement of God with something else. And, basically, we wanted to show that all people are sinners and that Jesus came and conquered sin. We also touched upon the life of Jesus Christ, repentance, and eternal life, where was shown in detail the way of Jesus, which he passed, that we have salvation. Where we just talked about whether we can change your life and how to change it to change. We have shown that this way is JESUS! Also, no matter how they lived, they face an eternity, they can carry out either with God or in hell. We showed that the choice is up to a man. At the end of the last lesson we made the calls to repentance.
Also during the week, we called up and talked with the guys on the relevant topics for them, discussing all sorts of events. Especially we discussed the theme of football (Champions League Final). Many of them play and like football, and this event was a good opportunity to talk to, cheer for your favorite team, just a fun time …

In May: Children’s ministry in Grozovo.

The Bible is the only wise book that answers all the most important issues. The Bible is God’s amazing gift for everyone. This kids have learned about it on our lesson. When we came next time kids eagerly run to the street and asked if they would have a lesson! Classes were hold on the street. First we played outdoor games, playing smart, fun games, the “edible” game, very tired and finally just come the time to listen to the story of a boy who was very proud of the Bible. Then we learned a song about the worm, which has found the Bible and it was for him the most valuable find. In our prayer we thanked God for what He has given the Bible, and we can study it. On the next lesson, we talked with them about the importance of prayer, what is a prayer, what prayer is described in the Bible (Lk.11 :1-4) After the lesson was the most important part: each child was asked to pray! There was silence … and all the kids as best they could and knew how to take turns to pray! Thank God for these children’s hearts, full of ease and confidence! God always hears and answers our prayers. It’s true, because He promised to do so. God heard my prayer too!

“Meeting with the orphanage alumni”

Posted: May 15, 2012 by Dobr9k in Uncategorized

Not so long ago we had a very interesting and heart-warming meeting. We went to a little town of Marjina Gorka where six former wards of Slutsk orphanage study. Those young people graduated from orphanage two years ago. At present Slutsk orphanage is closed and its wards were redirected to other different orphanages. Elder orphans were sent to colleges.
Besides our weekly visits to orphanages we reg
ularly meet with orphanage alumni. We don’t get such meetings often as we can’t visit all Belarusian towns. We all hope that God will create new teams, will find new people eager to serve abandoned children both during their time at the orphanage and outside its walls.
Such meetings are usually equally full of joy and sadness because when we get to
gether we learn how former orphans are dealing with their lives. We are happy when we hear that they could get into college or get a good job, create a healthy and strong family and we are delighted when we get to know that they attend church. However, not everybody can get on with their lives. Sometimes we learn that someone from the orphanage has become a single parent, got into prison, abuses alcohol or drugs. Sometimes we learn about premature deaths of orphanage alumni. Why does it happen? May be it is because too often those youngsters are left alone with their feelings and problems. There is nobody to support them, to give good advice and help them overcome their hardships. That is why we call upon you to be more considerate and compassionate towards the people who are around you and especially towards orphans. It is God Himself who promises to bless those who care for at least one orphan.
Youngsters we met at Marjina Gorka are currently senior students at college. And again they face the question what to do after they graduate. That’s why, our foremost intention is to keep in touch with them and help them out with such social issues as housing and further education, we direct them to churches where they can get support and help.
We genuinely thank everybody who supports us in our ministry!
