For me, February was a very difficult month. It hurt me to look at the guys in the orphanage. Many were sick; they told me how they were placed in an isolation ward and treated.
They worried that they would not see us. Some guys could not find a common language among themselves, quarreled and offended each other. Someone was not happy that life is not fair to them.
And I was able to reassure one boy, because he cried and cried, and said that all the people around him are bad. In addition, he was angry with God. I am grateful to God that I could be at that moment and comfort him. Thank God that we have the opportunity to come to meet children’s in orphanage and talk to them about their difficulties, empathize, hug and talk about God, and teach them how to pray and trust in God their problems!
When we come to the guys,
they are enthusiastically running to meet us. Perhaps for someone we have become close, for someone just friends. Yes, they, like most people,
have their own experiences I pray that the time spent with the guys will not be in vain! How I want the guys to find the meaning of life in God and change their destinies with God’s help!
This month, older children began to get acquainted with the history of David’s life. This Biblical hero is a good example of loyalty and trust in God, and this is exactly what so many people lack! Quite a young boy, who was a shepherd and musician, was able to defeat the giant Goliath and in due time God made him king. One of the actual topics for the children from this orphanage is friendship.
Unfortunately, most guys do not know how to be friend, do not know how to trust, forgive, children are more consumers in friendship.
That is why we devoted a whole meeting to the example of the friendship of David and Jonathan. We come to the guys to show God’s view of those or other moments.
At one of the meetings we organized sports relay races for high school students. Relaying is not only a sport and a fun pastime, but also an opportunity to teach children to correctly accept both victories and defeats, and also to unite for the sake of achieving a common goal.
Younger children continue to get acquainted with the miracles that Jesus performed during life on earth. They already know the biblical story of how Jesus fed five thousand people, how thanks to Jesus, the fishermen caught a large number of fish, and that even the sea obeyed Jesus. We hope and believe that God is already now, working in children’s hearts!

January is a very special month for children, and not many of them were visited Italy. This month still special so that the children are having more
attention from outside the orphanage and, of course, because a lot of presents. I can not select, that, with all this, connects their good mood and goodwill to us, and also beacuse of the eve of the camp.
The camp time are always accompany more closes and friendly rellationships. Exactly thats why this month were that special and children were all especially happy. I would like to accent a youngest group, watching after them, I saw some changes in their behavior, they’ve become more attentive and more obedient.
The children in the group were all very different, some of them are more smart and some of them were more responsive to assimilate all the information we gave to them. But what especially surprised me is how they care about the younger and in general the children have a heightened sensitivity to those who need help or protection. Why?
Because often you can see how people are quarrel and showdown with each other. This past month we told a lot of children Bible stories about: “Jeasus childhood”, ” How Jeasus chose His disciples”, “King’s servant son healing” and ect.
Children knew very good story about Jeasus Birth, and didnt payed much attention in listening it, but, very actively answered the questions. And another special thing was how theese guys, each of them, were ready and willing to play every game and loved when some of us asked for their help. The teenager group had themes like: “Samson”, “Ann’s prayers”.. As I wrote upper, this month we’ve been visiting them not just for fun time and lessons, but also we brought them to see the Christmas play and some Christmas presents.
Hi everyone, who is following our updates!
Christmas is coming, and we are saying goodbye to the last month of the year.
During this month, the Lord helped us to visit Belynichie boarding school every week. The atmosphere around is filled with love and holiday hustle as Christmas approaching.
This month we taught kids to look at circumstances they are in a different way! For example looking at Esther’s life we learnt that God might put you in the circumstances that seem unbearable but many victories could be behind it all. Esther was an orphan, but she became the queen who saved the nation.
We do not know what we will face in the future and why kids get to the orphanages, but we are sure, that God knows what victories this or that child was born for.
This month is special as well as relationships we have. It is so great to see kids and the changes in their relationships between each other. We see that no matter what diagnoses these kids have they have big loving hearts!
They are looking for and waiting for this love from us when we come to see them and everyone wants us to spend time with him. At first, it was so hard for me to look at those kids. Deformed faces and the speech that is hard to understand – it is not what you would like to see. Only coming here regularly and getting to know them, I started to understand what they say and those strange sounds are their joy, and that is the way they try to express it!
How can I describe these kids? These are the kids with a massive hole in their souls and they try to fill it in with anything they can. They are very open and kind, dreaming about love.
Only yesterday, we were talking about Christmas – the birth of Jesus Christ.
Children could apply to themselves the fact that Joseph adopted Jesus. The main idea though is that Jesus came so that every boy and girl could have Heavenly Father, who will love them as they are. Jesus came to become the son of man so that we would become the children of God.
During the talk we put a little show about Joseph and Mary when they were knocking on the doors to find a shelter but they kept getting “No room”. Children themselves took part in this play. After the performance we tried to explain that it is really important to walk with God everyday of our lives and there always should be room for Him in our hearts!
Changes are also seen in the children’s behavior. We are grateful to everyone who serves together with us through prayers, finances and personal time! Merry Christmas!
This month I dealt with the youngest group of the kids aged from 7 to 11. Different kids came to our classes.
Sometimes there were few of them just 7-10 kids and sometimes there were more than 20 of them. These are the kids with serious behavior problems, with different levels of intellectual disability and with obvious delay in their mental and physiological development.
In addition, this is not the whole list of their problems. We can clearly feel that they lack love, affection, personal attention and just need someone who will listen to them. You shouldn’t listen to them just for show but should be really interested in them. It may seem that there isn’t anything interesting in their stories about their troubles/ wishes and thoughts. What can this give to them? Nevertheless it is truly very important for them to know that they worth our attention. As for me personally these kids are important, significant and very dear to my heart. It is so sad there are so many of them and I can’t always pay each of them enough attention. But I believe that even spending a little time with will bring its fruit to the Kingdom of Heaven!
As long as you enter place where the younger ones live you don’t hear silence – the kids are so active and noisy!
If some of them play in the hall, they go and tell the rest that we came and almost all the kids run to us ready to give a lot of hug. It is so pleasant to feel they wait for us and are happy to our coming! This month we spoke about Daniel, about his relationships with God, his way of life and his friends.
As for me, Daniel is a great example of faithfulness to God despite everything! That is what we all have to long for! Therefore, we wanted to show and tell it to the kids. We tried to tell them as colorful as possible, how Daniel got to the palace what position and lifestyle he had there and that his and his friends’ faith had to be seriously tested. The most important idea was that God is always faithful to His promise! That is what really impresses and gives hope! Especially the kids remembered the vivid example with a few plastic bags and flour. We wanted to show that like flour goes through the bags with holes the same is with our hearts which are spoiled with the sin, dead and have ‘holes’.
But when our heart is ‘whole’ and clean it vice versa keeps good thoughts and deeds and love to God and people. That is the heart the person needs if he or she wants to spend eternity with God!
My special attention was paid to one boy called Ilya. He tried not to miss our meetings and almost always listened with attention and interest. As for me, he differed from the rest because he heard out story very well and did great in answering our questions. It was interesting that he answered that God kept Daniel when we asked why hungry lions did not slaughter him. He said it plainly but that phrase had deep sense! I believe that this boy really thinks about such simple but utterly important things.
What concerns the older ones they started to speak about a new character Moses. It is a bright example how God can do great miracles through and average person who is faithful to Him! Besides, they had sports competitions, which both the teenagers and people from our team liked. Through this we noted that our mood and good behavior is past to the teenagers. So? it depends on us how they will respond to winning and losing!
Every week we go 300 km to meet up with the children in Belynichi boarding school. As soon as we reach the school,
we can see joyful children running towards us, knocking on the windows, waving at us. They are telling us how their week went by, hugging, smiling. In return, we try to listen to them, support them and share our news. We speak about bible characters at our meetings.
This month we have talked about Joseph’s life, who was betrayed, was lonely and disappointed. But God lifted him up in His timing, because Joseph loved God and stayed faithful to Him. We wish this time with kids would not be spent in vain, that the kids will make the right choices every day.
Somebody comes and listens to God’s Word at our meetings, somebody stays in his room and do his own things, somebody plays football. But there also children who is looking for friendship, support and comfort and are open to get to know God. We do keep in touch with everybody who wants during the week,
we call or text each other, so it’s the friendship that exists only within school walls.
There is a new girl among younger kids, her name is Kira. She’s very sociable, open and joyful girl. Most of all, what really makes us happy is that she does well at remembering what we have been talking about at our meetings. She took the first place in answering our questions at the meeting when we did a revision on all previous topics.
She would have needed just a quick review that we do after each meeting to remember everything we talked about. Other kids did well too! Somebody remembers bible stories, somebody sings beautifully, somebody takes prizes in different quizzes and competitions, somebody is a good example of obedience and good behavior during our meetings.
Praise God for these wonderful and talented children! This month we have finished the talks about David’s life and got to know a wise king Solomon. I hope, these examples of bible characters will help children to make the right choices related to their lives!
Thanks to everybody who takes part in the ministry for the orphans in our wonderful country! May God bless you!
