In December: “Vileyka orphanage”

Hello everyone! We are so glad that God has opened Vileika orphan boarding school for visiting! For p2BjMiOZuYYmore than six months we could not attend school because of the coronavirus. But, thank God, this month we were able to travel and build relationships with the guys and school administration again!

We came to the school again in early December. A lot of guys didn’t remember us and it was very sad. Nevertheless,13m4QL9fiok we gathered all the guys in the event hall and tried to remind them who we are. The first topic for discussion was: “Time to dream.” Many guys told me that they don’t know how to dream. The fact that the guys were extremely open and actively involved in our conversation surprised me. The housemasters of the orphanage were present during that discussion, as they informed us later, and also were thinking about their dreams. For the first time I could see housemasters of the orphanage who are not distracted during discussion. Now they really listened to the topic and tried to discuss it with us. Thank god! The next time we visited the children they were already waiting for us. It was so nice to see how the guys ran out to meet us and everyone wanted to tell us about something that had IVyJlI3s0yIhappened to them recently! At this meeting we talked about the importance of forgiveness. Forgiveness is a problem for many children who live in orphanages and orphan boarding school. We know that unforgiveness destroys lives and breaks destinies. This is what we also found out at the first meeting when the guys talked about themselves and about their loved ones. One expression sounded like this: “I will never forgive!” Our team realized that the topic of forgiveness is important more than ever! Our meeting began and we talked about the petition and about forgiveness and unforgiveness and what God says about it. We tried to explain that forgiveness is a process and there was much debate about that during the meeting. We ended up saying that ifXlZVA1f6HJo forgiveness is very difficult for you then ask Jesus to be the one who forgive your offenders on your behalf and the ice began melting! Unforgiveness has lived in children`s hearts for years and now freedom came. Also, on the eve of the Christmas holidays we talked about Christmas. We reminded them of the purpose of Jesus coming and now they can be at peace with God through Jesus. The guys have so much wrong stereotypes about the Christmas in their heads so we had to make a lot of efforts to clear it all _vfeTMcBpQEup for them. A lot of children thought that Santa Claus is Jesus! And some of the guys even said that Santa Claus and Jesus are relatives. Someone said that Jesus is a superhero. We realized that a lot of new guys who have not been present in our meetings have a lot of false conceptions about God. We told them biblical story of Christmas. About the angel who came to Mary and about Jesus supernatural birth and what He experienced in first hours of His human life. We told them that the Son of God wasn’t given any room to stay so He was born in a stable pttQZcbAZ6Iand laid on a straw. The shepherds came first to worship God and the only thing they could give to Him was their hearts. When the meeting came to an end many children from the sixth grade asked for a children’s bible. “We want to know more about God, give us bibles for Christmas.” Oh, it was so pleasant to hear! When we were driving back to home all of us were glad that none of the children asked for toys or phones, they asked for bibles instead! We are so glad that the boarding trips have resumed. So many children need the joyful news about God’s love to each of them. Thank you so much for your prayers for us! We believe that joint service to the children will glorify our God even in a greater measure!

In December: ”Belinichy orphanage”

Posted: December 30, 2021 by Dzmitry Nachyna in Belinichy

Hello to you, brothers and sisters!

This month we’ve had five trips to the Belynichi orphanage. Belynichi is the furthest place where the team SAZ-NiyeXr0that serves the orphans goes. This month many children have come back to the school from the hospital. We could see how the orphanage got filled with more children, and more of them started to attend our meetings. Gena was in the hospital for more than three weeks. He has a skin disease. When we met with him, he said he had missed all our team and the school. He asked God to help him come back to school as soon as possible. ‘Thanks to God, I am home!’ Gena said. I thought it was great that the children were praying outside the school building! This month we have talked about grumbling. We forget about theG96Wi42QYg0 blessings that we have so quickly! Talking about this problem, we took the example of Moses and told the children about the consequences that the people of Israel had because of their resentment. We tried to connect this story with our lives. The people of Israel were dissatisfied with Moses and God. ‘And what about us?’ I asked. Children can very often be dissatisfied with their teachers, the food, or the room, in which they have to live. People need to be grateful but they often grumble and say bad words instead. As a result, it leads to bad consequences. The serpents bit the people in the story with Moses, but in our life, we will receive a xGyI-ozOUH4bad attitude. People won’t love us and treat us very badly. In that case, we might not be allowed to get the education and get into nursing homes. Obedience and gratitude open hearts and give us opportunities that can change life for the better. We also talked about Esther. She was an orphan but God made her a queen. God left these stories as examples for us. We also mentioned low self-esteem and that when we are obedient to God and our teachers our life becomes ordered. Faith in God and spending time with Him through prayer can change our life as it was with Esther. Esther overcame her fears due to her faith in God. We can also overcome our fears, lack of confidence, and failures just by having our faith. It is faith that opens the doors to opportunities and gives confidence.

During one of our trips, we talked about Jonah, where we wanted toDmpDVO1y_fk underline that God’s love covers everything. We, human beings, are picky. We love those who love us and hate those who don’t love us. But this story has shown us God’s heart and how much He wants that people will come to peace with Him. God leads Jonah through such trials and miracles to save the people of Nineveh. God loves us although we don’t choose Him, don’t believe in Him, and constantly make him upset. But God 4d6QdrxBTfochose to love us, He chose all of us so nobody could perish! Despite his lack of love Jonah eventually fulfilled his mission and the whole nation was saved. The life of a person sometimes depends on the Gospel! We spoke with the children that each of us had to make the decision like the people of Nineveh did. Our future depends on this decision.

Simple AvKbIMVP9Kolessons sow the seeds of faith in a heart. We are so glad that the children are interested in knowing about God and that they put into practice what they hear during our meetings. Also, the last Thursday we told them about the birth of Jesus Christ. The children watch a lot of different performances during the winter holidays but none of them tell about the real meaning of Christmas. We reminded the children what Christmas means to us. God created the world, then sin came into the world through Adam and Eve’s disobedience. After that, Cain killed Abel because of his jealousy. Sin had been spreading with great speed and God saw that people couldn’t be saved from this so He sent His Son Jesus Christ to Earth. Anyway, we see that when Jesus Christ was born, He didn’t have a place in any hotel or a house but only in the manger. Jesus reconciled people with God. I asked the children what there could have been if Jesus hadn’t been born and they answered: ‘We wouldn’t be able to be saved’. That was the correct answer! Christmas is a holiday of hope and reconciliation! We are so happy that we could serve the orphans in Belynichi this year! Thank you so much for praying for us and our children! Glory be to God that we can bring the Gospel to the place where it is needed so much!

In December: “Smilovichi orphanage”

This month, a new child was added to the Smilovichi shelter – Maxim, whom we have already known, _iZMYdcR1Fo (1)because he was there a few years ago. His situation 9OGIDEMd-z4in the family was more complicated, the parents did not give him proper care and now he experienced a new pain. When we had a meeting, he was very happy and he said that he remembered us and very happy to see us again!

Before Christmas, we finished the biblical lessons in the Old Testament and spoke with children about Samson and Ruth, their lives, obedience and disobedience to God and what consequences it led. AsDlgVr-Z_0uTt49-9NKr0For example Samson. We explained that obedience to God is always a blessing and the Lord does not ask us to do something impossible or commit a bad act. People can make sin or advise incorrectly, but our Heavenly Father will never! On the example of Ruth, we told about how God loves us and takes care of us despite difficult times or circumstances. We stressed many times the loyalty to God and his ability to fix everything in our lives if we trust him and sincerely ask for help.

aR_6YKjO8EkDuring Christmas, we bought a cake and prepared gifts for each child. Diana prepared a statement in which it was very affordable about the true sense of the holiday of the Nativity of Christ. Then children were eating the cake and talking . At the end of the meeting we distributed gift boxes and children were really pleased! Milana even looked around with happiness and said that she had always dreamed of such a gift. Each child was happy, grateful and truly experienced God’s limitless love and care. Glory to Him!

In November: “Rudensk orphanage”

In November, trips to Rudensk were every week. A lot of children came to the meetings, also, there were 3_4HzsCmdqQalso newcomers who had not been before.

After one of the meetings, my friend Artem came to me, usually we discuss different topics with him: about what he has read in the Bible, what challenges now he is fighting. On my question what is he now reading in the Bible at the moment, he replied that now he read the Bible very rarely. (Because of the quarantine of trips to Rudensk) I said that it was very important to read the Bible, because it was a word from God himself, and it changes and transforms our lives. If we do not read the Bible, our faith will weaken. Artem 7IaeDt07pbosaid that after meetings with us, his faith strengthened and his desire appears to learn more about God and thank us that we come to them!

skcVPrYbWHUFor a variety, on one of the meetings we watched the cartoon: “Supebook:” Queen Esther “”. In the end we discussed with the guys how important it is to trust God and sometimes in order to prove the truth, we have to risk even our lives that we have seen on the example of Queen Esther, but God is always with us and will support us!

TUB8rBL-G9YAt the last of the meetings, our team and children, especially with the boys, went to the gym. We told the boys, that it is very important to give time for your body and even in the Bible it says that our bodies are temples for the Holy Spirit (1st Cor). In order to withstand various difficulties in life, you should also handle and train our body to be strong. Moreover, our mood is changing when we are engaged and achieved good results. We conducted a familiarization training and showed the boys how to do the exercises correctly, to breathe correctly, and how to do at home, if there is no equipment. It was also important for us to show the boys that the life of a believer man is also interesting and saturated and we also engage in sports!

hz6Sd12ogGESeparately from the guys, a meeting was held for girls from 12 to 19 years, on which we observed the topic of relationships with guys and how to keep themselves before marriage. We talked about the importance of relationships with God, accepting his love in order to get out of school, do not look for love in the guys. Girls said that they really lack love, tenderness, kind words. We answered that all of these they will find in the Word of God and during prayer.

In November: “Smilovichi orphanage”

At the moment, there are five children in the Smilovichi social center. There are four girls and a boy. All of ULFUKQ-S5VYthe children are from the same family.  They are very bright, beautiful, and communicative children, who got into a hard life situation. Milana, who is the oldest girl, sometimes behaves like a mum.-XkED5x-GLI She tries to discipline her siblings with words or hugs them and holds their hands to comfort them. On the one hand, it is good when children show care to each other, but at the same time, we want so much that their childhood will be real childhood and kids will not have to act like adults! Dasha and Angelina have very noticeable speech problems. Both girls stutter very much and, as a result, they often avoid talking with little known people although they are very sociable and love attention. What is good in this situation is that these girls get a lot of help here. The speech therapist and the psychologist work with them, and they attend a comprehensive school. Nazar, who is LgA4XMLY6ugtheir brother, doesn’t usually try to grasp our attention, however, he, like any child, loves when someone hugs him, gives him presents, and just listens to him during a conversation. The youngest girl is Kira. We shared about her birthday not long ago. She turned four at that time. This little girl has serious hearing problems, so we have to talk with her using sign language. That is a good experience for our team! 9eHEiJKRNPADespite Kira’s hearing problem and her young age, we try to involve her in our program. Christian songs with movements are a great help here because Kira takes part in them with great pleasure. She also likes bright pictures that we use during the Bible lessons. The situation with Kira shows us once again that the word of God is living and active and love destroys all the boundaries! Glory be to God for that! In December, Kura is going to the hospital. She will is going to have a tMvs9pfE-Y8thorough examination, which will show if she has any chance to have surgery that will restore her hearing. We hope for God’s mercy and firmly believe that there is nothing impossible for Him!

In November, we have discussed a few Bible stories. The children have found out about Moses and the journey of the Israel people across the desert. They have also learned about the wise queen Esther through whom God saved the whole nation from destruction. The children were especiallyugziR9HImtc astonished and excited about the story of Jonah, who was in the belly of the big fish! While sharing this story, we could remind the children one more time that God hears us any time and in any place. Even in the belly of the big fish! We could also tell them that God was omnipresent. At our last meeting, we had a creative activity, during which we could revise all the Bible stories, that we had shared with the children this month.

Dear friends, we would be glad if you supported little Kira in your prayers and also keep praying for our team that continues serving orphans and orphanage graduates of our country!
